Very scenic place to come and enjoy some peace and quiet and to slow down and look around at what's around you. There's a 6 mile loop that you can drive thru and along the way there's multiple place to stop with some trails and lookouts. There's also trails near the entrance, like the butterfly trail, which I thought were great. I also saw lots of different kinds of birds throughout the reserve. It's not a busy place, so you can really take your time and enjoy yourself.
Drive thru a 6 mile loop and stop at a few walking paths..need a rest stop at the benches on some of the paths and observe the nature. This beautiful place has something for everyone it is worth a visit!
Awesome place. Able to drive the loop and see the vast beauty of the reserve. Was able to spot the owl in the tree.
Beautiful drive. I would have loved to walk it.
What a beautiful natural area! So much peace and quiet and bird life on the waters! This is a great place for a picnic, a hike, or just some meditation time!
The visitor center is absolutely stunning inside and out, and the guide is very friendly and helpful.
We got to see a resting owl in the eastern viewing area and baby swallows that had left the nest and were waiting for their mom.
This isntruly a beautiful quiet place, and we are glad to come here once in a while for nature photography and a nice picnic.
What a beautiful place! Take the drive around, you'll be glad you did! Nice stops along the way to view the landscape and waterways. Very peaceful! If you're stressed, come spend the day out here!
This place is really nice for its expanse and the isolated view points spread over a 6 mile trail accessible by car. The observation huts are really useful since they allow viewing the nesting birds from a distance. The visitor center has two nice videos about the history of this place.
Very nice gravel road drive around the wetlands area with frequent parking stops to get out and look at the sights. When we were there the recent rains had helped produce a bumper crop of wild flowers. Very quiet and peaceful place to go.
